Here we were, all set up for Lisa's reliving her 50 wonderful ATWT years. What a prime opportunity to bring out the old tapes to share those so treasured and true special moments from the golden days. I was expecting to see the younger Lisa and younger Bob. I was especially expecting to see our wonderful Nancy. Now I don't mean to denigrate our wonderful cast. They did what they were expected to do with the reliving the past scenarios and they did it well. However, it just wasn't the same. Further, I'm not convinced all of what they did was 100% true to the original story line of the time. I was frustrated to the point of not wanting to watch the scenarios at all. TPTB missed some huge opportunities here. They BLEW it! Grumble! Grumble!
i know, i had mixed feelings about it too. it was really fun to see ali, casey, katie, and chris dressed up in the period clothes and acting out the scenes, but i would have liked to see the original scenes too.
i'm hoping they'll show lots and lots of clips between now and september. please, no new characters or storylines. just wrap up what they have going, bring back as many actors as will agree to come, and show lots of clips!
