You've heard the Canucks on the board talk about Tim Horton's, our nationwide doughnut chain which is a Canadian institution. I just read an article that it is teaming up with your Cold Stone Creamery. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
Rats! I don't see Florida on the list! I have a Cold Stone literally next door to my apartment complex. I have to try a pastry from the legendary Tim's at least once before my time on earth exipres!
I don't see MA either. :( It would be tough for any coffee/donut shop to compete with Dunkin Donuts here. They're on about every street corner. And they DO make good coffee!
Never had Tim Horton's but got to try Cold Stone while shopping in Savannah one time and all I can say is i am fortunate it is not closer to me because that stuff is decadent!
Oh, Joel! I feel your pain! I live across the street from Dairy Queen! Cold Stone ice cream is better, but more expensive. The Cold Stone is near my office, and we USED to have a Mountain Frost creamery in my office building! I loved that, especially on two-dollar-Tuesdays! I was broken-hearted when they closed down.
You're right -- soft serve at DQ is great stuff. I go for Cold Stone or Mountain Frost when I want something a little richer. It's richer in more ways than one!
They don't have DQ's around here! :( My favorite ice cream place is in Nags Head, NC, and it's called Fat Boyz. :D No trip to OBX is complete without one of their concoctions (and it makes me a Fat Girlz, LOL!).
Tim's in an institution in Canada. Strangely enough, Joel, it's not the "pastry", it's mostly all about the coffee. There's a Tim's within about a 2 minute drive from anywhere in Canada, always with a drive thru and always with a lineup at the drive thru.
There are lots of other coffee places that have made serious in roads into Canada, but I don't think any one of them will ever hold a place in the heart of Canada like Tim's.
What Canadian toddler doesn't understand that a Timbit is one of the basic food groups? How many staff meetings dont include Timbits and coffee?
Tim Hortons is as much a part of the Canadian identity as beer, toques and beavertails.
Yes, the coffee is great, but so are the blueberry fritters! Yum!
In case you need a translation of Timbits, it's the doughnut holes. Tim Horton's is also a big supporter of minor hockey and the little kids teams are called Timbits. My grandson is a Timbit player, and I wish I knew how to get photos on here so I could post his hockey card--at 6 years old.

All these names mean nothing to me! We used to have Bess Eaton donuts here which were the best ever but Bess Eaton went out of business eons ago. Now all we have is Dunkin Donuts which, donut wise, is better than nothing I suppose.
Hamitup, just so ya know, there is a new Cold Stone at the River City Mall (the one by the JAX Airport). Not CLOSE to you, but not as far as Savannah!.
How awesome!!! I love Tim Horton's but have never been to the ice cream store although I have seen them around. I live in Michigan so it looks like maybe these will be here Oh yeah Sammie I hate those commercials where they portray Cindy as the end all be all of hockey. KarenKFC you also forgot back bacon, hockey and jelly donuts as the main institutions of Canada
