I haven't seen today's show yet, so I'll withhold comment until then, but the Frank angle is cracking me up. Was there ever a dopier character than poor Frankie? Oh well, at least he got ... well, you know...
According to interviews I've read with CC, she claims that the show has a long story arc planned for Otalia & while I don't know "how far" they plan to go with this, they are in this for the long haul. Personally, other than Phillip's return, for me, Otalia is the best thing going on GL right now.
You know, Joel, I think I agree with you on that. I find the whole Lizzie/Bill starting over thing a little annoying, I'm sick of the Revababy story, and I hit the snooze button on M&M. I do enjoy Shane and Dinah, I guess.
But I'm finding the Otalia story very sweet. Like I said, I found the interaction with Doris kind of nice as well. And I understand what they are trying to do with the story. It's not like there's some big 'coming out' here, it's just two people who love each other who are maybe realizing that it's more than that. I think it's pretty well done. I can see a long story arc here, dealing with the issues of being a couple, reaction from everyone else, the Frankie Fallout. I guess I'm interested enough to see where this goes.
I have to admit at first I had my doubts about Natolivia ( just trying out a different combo name). This has turned into one powerful storyline on so many levels. I am loving it. ITA agree about Reva's pregnancy..boring. Philip's return is really great especially the scenes with Emma. M& M= boring. Shane and Dinah: love it. The show is back on track nonetheless.
In addition to the reaction of other SF residents, I'm looking forward to Natalia's reconciling this relationship with her faith. They've gone over the top making sure we know Natalia is Catholic (with a capital C). She's wearing a cross and there's a cross hanging in their kitchen. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.
Joel, just a wee bit bigger with the font, please!
