Terri stars in a new movie 'iMurders' which should be released on DVD later this year. The director of the film, Robbie Bryan, has kindly answered my questions about Terri's involvement in the film. Here's the interview...
Terri Colombino plays the lead, Sandra Wilson, in your new film iMurders. The film is a murder mystery and Terri plays a member of an online chatroom group whose members are being mysteriously and gruesomely killed.
What can you tell us about Sandra Wilson, the character that Terri plays?
Robbie Bryan: "Sandra Wilson" is a complicated character. She is involved in a tragic incident that foreshadows the whole movie and her character walks a fine line between being an in-the-wrong-place-at-the wrong-time victim or psychotic killer. She has to be beautiful, vulnerable, sexy and a bit on the edge.
Why was Terri right for this role and how did she come to audition for you?
Robbie Bryan: Terri's role was actually the very last character cast. We had talked to a bunch of people through the years in terms of people who might be playing that character. Because the shooting schedule changed a bunch of times, we never could lock anyone in. When we finally got financed fully, we struggled with who was going to play it and who was available. Terri was brought to me late in the game. In fact, the movie had already started shooting. I was FREAKING out, to not have my lead actress cast. Her agent pitched her, I watched some tape and was sold on her, and she DEFINITELY did not let me down.
How difficult was it to film around her As The World Turns schedule?
Robbie Bryan: We worked around her schedule for sure, but I actually think there was only one day that was a real conflict and we rescheduled. All involved worked closely to make it happen, as Terri's character worked the most days on the film.
Terri's husband Artie is also in this film, do they share any scenes together?
Robbie Bryan: Actually, her husband Artie is only in one scene and it is, indeed, with Terri. It was created late in the game, by our Producer, to add another dynamic to the film.
Are there any interesting off-screen filming stories with Terri that you can share?
Robbie Bryan: Terri was very collaborative with me during shooting. She always came up with little tweaks in her character that definitely paid off. The other interesting aspect was that she has two of the three love scenes in the movie, so it was always intriguing in trying to make those work and be respectful to her, but then again, her background doing soaps made her MUCH more comfortable doing them, then I was directing them.
Also want to let all her fans know that the movie should be out in stores in October, but please keep checking in to this Myspace site (http://www.myspace.com/imurdersmovie) to find out for sure!
(iMurders also has many stars from Guiding Light too!)
Thanks for sharing--sounds interesting. I'll look for it in October. Now, if someone would offer such a project to talented Trent, I'd REALLY be over the moon.
Terri Colombino (Katie) will be doing an in-store signing of her new movie iMurders at the F.Y.E. Department store in the Freehold Raceway Mall, New Jersey on Oct 24th from 11-1pm.
