Have the writers just decided to give up all hope.

I just finished watching yesterday's episode and kept saying this is probably one of the worst written episodes I have ever seen. Marina speaking about the virtues about being married made her sound like a Stepford wife and not an ex-cop. The entire scene with Remy, Cyrus and Remy's dad was just really bad and just came across as forced and phony. Christina talking to Dinah about Remy, the diamonds, again, sounded forced.  It just came to me that GL will not be saved and I just wish that TPTB at least go out in a blaze of glory not a candle that has  been blown out.

Christine talking about the diamonds over, over and over again to everyone in town. But wait! no-one seems to notice Hmmm...missing diamonds and Remy has diamonds that he has NO BUSINESS owning. Hello, even Frank should be able to out 2 +2 together!

Seems that way......unfortunately I'm back to part time viewing based on the synopses' I read for each day. Hopefully things will pick up a bit when Ed & the other returnees start infiltrating beggining next week.

I'm a couple of days behind watching so just saw the episode.  You're right that the  writing is 'off'.  Also the actor that plays Remy's father is really bad, flat and lifeless.  I hadn't paid much attention to him before but he shows absolutely no emotion.

There was a scene with Phillip and Rick the other day that was 'off' too.  Aside from being inaccurate with them  talking about their teenage kids and  Rick telling him about 'teenage girls' , when Phillip had had wild child Lizzie, the delivery was very stilted and phony.  The two actors have always had a believable relationship and this just didn't have it.  It was as if they were just reading from the script.

It must be REALLY hard to keep up morale when you've got 3 months to go and no one's watching anyway.  Let's face it, very few of these actors will ever be seen on television again.  Most are probably headed to the regional theater circuit.  It would be hard for me to give it my all as well.
