What kind of air-borne illness do you get from the woods that can kill an extremely fit, young-ish man in 3 months? I've heard of lung diseases you can get from rodents, but that doesn't have much of a lag time. I notice Ed didn't specify this "rare" disease. When Phillip asked "How long?" I thought "About 3 months," then Ed repeated my words. It really tickled me!
On an unrelated note, on Thursday's show, Lillian was dressed as if it were February and the boiler had broken. She was so bundled up! All the other women had on tank tops, short shorts and sundresses -- Lillian was wearing a shirt, coat and a sweater tied over that. Is she having cold flashes? Did she catch Phillip's mysterious illness?
I'm going to miss the silliness of this show. What will I make fun of?
I thought of a drinking game (if I condoned such activity): take a drink every time Beth touches her forehead. It's especially comical when you ff.
Try playing your drinking game on the day Beth finds out about Phillip's "3 month disease"......you'll probably end up passing out from having so much booze in your system!
TB is one if left untreated in an immunocompromised person. There are several parasites that can be inhaled and work through the system. There is a parasite that has infested the waters behind the aswan dam in Egypt.
From Wikipedia:
"Schistosomiasis (bilharzias), associated with the stagnant water of the fields and due to the thick plant life that has grown up in Lake Nasser, which hosts the snails that carry the disease. Infection with schistosomiasis occurs when the skin comes in contact with contaminated fresh water in which certain types of snails that carry schistosomes are living. Schistosoma parasites can penetrate the skin of persons who are wading, swimming, bathing or washing in the contaminated water, such as in Lake Nasser. Within a few weeks, worms grow inside the blood vessels of the body and produce eggs. Symptoms are rash, fever, chills, cough, muscle aches, and later possible seizures, paralysis or spinal cord inflammation. If repeatedly infected the parasite can damage the liver, intestines, lungs and bladder."
I seem to remember left untreated it can kill you. Maybe inhaled water droplets that get into the lungs? It is after all a soap.

I'll bet a sack full of squirrels and 2 old crows that meggie has an ICU unit already set up in her attic.
She won't tell a soul either! We will all be crying, thinking he's dead while meggie is quietly administering her very own personalized TLC to we-all-know-who. Plus she'll be wiping his brow, AND HERS with that towel!

Oh, Meggie! Sorry! I loved your recap of Remy and Christina. Remy is verrrry yummy.
But, Phillip in his towel doesn't do much for me in the first place, and Phillip without his towel? Well. He's all yours. (Besides, when y'all commence living happily ever after, you don't want ALL of your friends having the hots for him, do you?)
