I knew you would appreciate that photo, Ruffles! In that one, she's behind the lilies, at the base of the maple tree -- very shady and cool. She loves to lie on the inpatiens in the shade garden -- didn't get a photo of that because I was too busy shooing her out of them, LOL!
Don't worry, she doesn't like to lie in the sunny perennial patch where I plan to put your irises! (I am not crazy about this winky face -- looks kind of sketchy).
We've had her exactly 7 years. Her birthday is June 1 and we brought her home on July 20 when she was 7 weeks old and weighed 10 pounds (she was smaller than our cat!).
I can't believe how the time has flown. I wish I could stop her now while she's nice and mellow but not feeling the aches and pains of old age. Seven is senior for goldens. Their life spans are only about 10-12 years, so I love her every single day!!! She's a great dog, gentle, friendly, funny. When I was recovering from surgery, she stayed by side. We had to bribe her downstairs to eat and go potty, but then she'd run right back up to the bedroom and lay next to my bed. It was like having my own personal nurse, LOL! She's a very special dog.
