LOVE my butterfly bush!!!!

I think these are Edward's Fritillaries but don't feel 100% certain because the under wing is a bit different in the Audubon book.

Beautiful photo, Ruff.  All the wildlife knows to stay and pose for you.

Actually........I wear dark, dull colors, usually gray shirts, while in the yard.  The butterflies are much less likely to notice me then.  Yesterday I had on a white shirt and did startle them with my movements a few times while being near the bush with my camera.

So glad you like the pictures.  I love the butterflies.  Thank goodness for large memory cards!

I was thinking about you today, Ruffles. We've got so many butterflies at the park where the owls live. They have different types of gardens all throughout the park and there are flowers that attract butterflies so when birding is slow, at least we have butterflies!
