Hi Everyone...I've been MIA for a long while now. I'm not sure how I got disconnected, other than a computer problem, which never resulted in my computer coming back to me, craziness at work (mortgage business) and being busy as all with 2 teenagers that are active in everything possible. Oh yeah, and facebook, I developed quite an addiction to that site!!! Glad to see so many familiar names here, and some new ones, I hope you remember me too! I'm feeling a little nostalgic with GL ending. Thats where we originally all found these sites. I"m going to miss it, even though it hasn't been wonderful for awhile, its been part of my life, since forever. My mother and grandmother raised me on GL. These last few weeks have been great, and I'm enjoying them....however if Josh & Reva don't end up together I'm going to be really sad....
HEY!! How good it is to see you!~ I've thought about you a number of times and wondered how you and the kids were doing... and if your business was doing okay with all this economic stress. Sure is nice to see you checking in.
Well Mortgage company managed to stay open, with downsizing, then SOOO many people closed up, that we hired a lot of new ones, so I'm up to 11 employees now. I had 10, went down to 3, now back up to 11. Its hard to keep up with all the changes, we had to do 20 hours of classes and take a test, now all mortgage people are licensed along with the office. So thats good it gets the "junk" ones out of the business. Mara is driving! Craziness, she'll be 17 next month, and AJ tripled in size in the last year, he's a big boy. Almost as good as new from his injury...we went back to philly a few weeks ago for his 1 year appt, and he was thrilled with his progress and he's about as healed as he can be. Finished up therapy in November, so it looks like that ordeal is over, after 3 1/2 years! But I couldn't be happier with how it turned out...he's stronger and it made him a tough kid.. He's a nice young man now, almost 15. He's about 5.9 and close to 170< he's playing high school football and he's pretty good!! He's back 100% at all sports, he knows his limitations and gets around them...and he loves his scar, he thinks its cool and the "chicks dig it". So all ended well with that. I have my third dog now Cooper, he's a year old now, still have Snickers who's almost 14 and Riley who is 3. Crazy house we have here. I ended up with 3 hamsters too, but thats another story! So glad to see everyone. LIght, do you still have your page, I couldn't find it at google, if you do, either email me the link PM if you would.
Welcome back, LoriR! How great that you found us again. Glad to hear your family is doing well. It's amazing that AJ is back to normal after his accident. LOL that the chicks dig his scar. I hope you'll post often.
Big agree on Josh and Reva getting back together. Today's Beth and Phillip reconcilliation was a tear jerker.
Lori R...........What a huge delight it is to find you here!!!!!!!!! I think of you often and have been wondering how well your son recovered from that terrible accident. Much to my happiness, you've answered my questions beautifully. How thankful you must be. Can hardly believe how much your children have grown! That is funny about his bragging over his scar. What a good and beautiful life your family has now. It also sounds as if you are well positioned at work which is great. There's far too much unemployment happening.
GL is an era in and of itself. Life won't feel right without it.
Lori, sorry I missed your second post last night. It truly is great to see you back "connected" again and to hear how well things are going at home and at work. I'll PM you the link you asked for since I'm not sure if your email is the same as what I've got. I emailed you a few times to check on you but that might have been when the computer was down.
Heading out to work at this point... hope your day will go well.
Wow, now you are a blast from the past. I wondered how you fared with all the mortgage stuff. Glad to hear things are well after all. Welcome back. Lib
