More tears today. I know as the actors were crying in their scenes they were tears of sadness.....I was happy to see old faces. Why wasn't Dinah at the wedding?? Poor rick is going to end up along isn't he?
I sure wish I'd seen it! Western Canada got a double whammy. We were pre-empted with tennis and can't access cbs.com to see it on line. If anyone finds it elsewhere, please, please let me know!!
Are you kidding me? Today was a wonderful episode, nothing major happened just so many familiar faces. How about utube. Maybe they will run it again in the middle of the night.
I saw Monday's episode and smiled and cried through the whole thing. Seeing all the old characters, Nola, Bridgette, Dylan, Wanda, Mindy, the reuniting of Billy and Vanessa, and Lillian at Maureen's grave was so special. Loved the Lewis men and Reva, Alex and Alan and all the rest!!
It was worth sitting through Biggest Loser Australia, a MASH rerun and an hour of the Magic Bullet Slicer thingy to watch it. When 2:30am came and went I'd just about given up, and then the magic words....'yesterday on Guiding Light....
Hubby is out of town this week, and I'm trying to finish up the renovating of our house (2 yrs+ so far), so I took the day off (today and Friday also). So yesterday (monday) i actually got to see. Wow what an episode.
The whole time I'm thinking, boy I sure an glad Meggie has this taped for posterity. Then I started reading all the threads this morning and thought our little library might be incomplete.
I loved Nola's line to Vanessa about her dress, that cat fight years ago was so classic, glad the PTB remembered it. So many familiar faces.
Question though, why is Phillip running the streets while Allen is still in the hospital. AND, why was Lillian never a "bride", she was married to Bradley, guess they must have eloped or something so she wasn't officially a bride.
I loved seeing everyone too, and the throw outs to history were in almost every line.
Phillip sure recovered well over the weekend. You'd think he'd been given a magic elixir instead of a bone marrow transplant, and I love how nobody has tested him to see if it worked. The rational seemed to be, if they can make it through surgery, they're fine and Phillip is cured! Mind you, this works for me!
We know that Cedars can do heart transplants and not leave a scar, so why not instant recuperations?
I guess Alan's procedure was a lot more invasive than Phillip's so Alan had to have a longer recuperation. I think I've had to sit for a longer time having juice and cookies after giving blood than Alan had to rest after donating half his bone marrow.
Lillian's comment about 'never being a bride' made me wonder too. She was already married when she came on the show so maybe she meant she'd never been a bride in a GL story. As she said, she'd been Beth's Mom and the good nurse, and she was a supporting player most of the time. Either that, or maybe she meant that she'd never felt the special feeling of a bride being loved and cherished.
Meggie! What time is GL on in BC? I can't watch it at 3 pm eastern and thought it would be on at 3 pm pacific time but couldn't find it. What time and what network?
I know this has been said, and felt by everyone, but OMG I can not believe this is happening. I had to page forward in my dish guide to see Guilding Light NOT on there next week, but I still just can't believe it. It is like some killing off my friends and family. boohoo! I will go into morning Friday with the rest of you. Does anyone know anything about the event in Atlanta Kim spoke of in the Nelson Branco interview?
