Our ship made it to land this morning in beautiful Hilo after a 2500 mile Pacific crossing. It was bit rocky in open water but we all survived. Umbrella drinks and pineapple seem to help.
I look forward to catching up with everyone when I return on the 29th.
Hi Meggie!! I'm so glad to hear from you and that you made it there safely! That's a LOT of miles in the ocean! I hope you have a great time and can't wait to hear all about it.
Glad to hear too that the umbrella drinks help! Don't forget to have one for each of us!
Better you than me. I think I'll skip the boat and fly to the Aloha State!!! Wild horses couldn't drag me back on board!!! (sorry, Joel, I'm a landlubber
LOL KK! I'll forgive you just this once since its your b-day.
meggie, glad you made it to Hawaii safe & sound. Keep a lookout for our ship 'Pride of America' while you are there.....not sure if your ship shares the same ports with her at all.
Hi from an internet cafe in Lahaina, Maui, drinking a Tropical Paradise smoothie. We're basking in glorious sunshine watching the surfers. I always wanted to learn to surf, but it will have to wait for another trip
Joel, the only other ship we've seen is the Carnival Spirit that was anchored with us at Kona yesterday. My Pacific Princess looked like a dinghy alongside.
The five days at sea were great and since the ship is only 680 passengers, you do meet a lot of great people without the one of many feel on the big ships.
Aloha....and hang loose.
Ruff, one does not keep count of umbrella drinks...it's simply not allowed!
Sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to see pictures and here all the details! Well, whatever details you can remember with all those umbrella drinks ;)
