Does anyone have Halloween plans?

I am going to a friend's party this year and looking forward to it.  I don't always get to have specific plans on Halloween, but I love celebrating this fun holiday when I can.

Anybody dressing up?

Anybody have a great idea on how to make my red hair temporarily dirty blonde?

I'm no help to you, Amanda.  I'm trying to find out if I can get rid of my tri-colored graying hair.

And I'll be staying home, putting on my witch hat and giving candy to the many children who come calling.  I love to see them all dressed up and excited about being "guessed".  Doesn't take much to make me happy.

You have fun!

My dentist tells me that many of his young patients are going as Michael Jackson, so just a heads up, LOL!  I'm hoping to be home, but a friend from the Chicago area has a conference in Boston, so we may meet him for dinner.

Jo, maybe you could do up your tri-colored hair into a candy corn design!  biggrin

Karen, aren't you clever?  If I had the nerve, and enough hair,  I might do that.  Alas, I have neither.

I Love Halloween. All the neighbors on our cul-de-sac sit together in our bag chairs and the end of the street. The neighbors that don't sit with us, leave their candy buckets. Should be about 5 of us this year.

Hadley is 2 now, and is going to be a LadyBug. She will probably come and trick our neighborhood, so I'll have to turn over my bucket for a little while and go with her. Last year she rode in her wagon most of the time, think she'll be more into it this year. I"ll be sure to post a picture of my little bug.

No firm plans here.

I am SO GRATEFUL I don't have to do the haunted house this year. FOr the last 6 years Brin's girl scout troop has built the haunted house at the local county school's "Trick or Treat Street" This year no troop, another troop of younger mothers will be doing it.

The haunted house is like cookie sales, code for "the troop leader works her muffin-top off" for little troop money. We have already whined endlessly about the mom's that don't participate and use scouting for after-school-child-care. blah. blah.

Anyway I am leaving halloween up to Brin's I think she will want to go to Trick or Treat Street but we will see. The rec center is having a teen efvent on Sat. Maybe she will want to go to that.

I am the only med passer at work on mids so I will probably be working.  I will probably be working a lot of hours due to that fact.  Our other midnighter that passes meds does not get back until November 8th so until then they have a person working a few days on the schedule from another home.  He used to work at the home I work at so they asked him to fill in so they could give me a few days off!  Otherwise I would be handing out treats to the few kids that stop by (I live in the boonies, so not many kiddies).  I will be watching "Ghost Hunters" on channel ScyFy.  They have a special 7 hour long live show where they will be at some asylum.  On the 30th the show "Ghost Adventures" on The Travel Channel is doing the same thing but I am not sure where they will be.  I will be watching that as well.  Welcome to my exciting life yawn

Halloween is Emily's birthday so it's a big deal in our house.

We had a kids Halloween party on Saturday.  Dinner for the family was yesterday.  We have dinner out on Thursday.  On Halloween, she's with her father so no fun for me this year.  I'm feeling a little down about that so I don't really have plans so far, although hopefully that will change this week.  I have various costumes for myself around the house.  I'm on the social committee at work so I have to dress up on Friday.  I loaned my 91 yr old grandma my devil costume for her to wear at her seniors residence this week!
