Why Lifetime?  What makes you think this  might work?  It didn't work for GL.

I am seeing anger at CBS and, to tell  you the truth, I find myself agreeing with that.  Not sure if energy from this could be harnessed to accomplish something.  Personally, I'm ready to boycott all things CBS.

What did it take to get Elizabeth Hubbard rehired?

Ruff--

Word came out recently that Lifetime DID want to pick up GL, but by the time GL was cancelled, Lifetime had already solidified their fall lineup. Had GL been cancelled one month earlier, it may have been a different story.

ATWT has more time to look for another outlet than GL did, and therefore a better chance. In any case, I suppose it can't hurt to try!

That sounds hopeful.

amanda, when was the gl cancellation announced? at least cbs did atwt that favor of a little more time.

imo the networks are slowly dying, and they're bringing it on themselves with all this reality crap. jay leno on in primetime 5 night a week in place of scripted shows is one example. most of the best shows are on cable (amc, hbo, usa, tnt, showtime), and they don't seem to have the demand of instant high ratings that networks do. i think the future of tv is in cable, and networks will soon be extinct. for whatever reason, they just can't compete.

The GL cancellation notice came on April 1st (hard to forget that kind of *genius* timing), and GL went off the air in September...so they were finished filming about 4 months after the cancellation came.
