On this first night of Hanukkah, I'd like to wish all whole celebrate it a warm and wonderful holiday!
Many children in my school celebrate Hanukkah (quite a few are actually from Israel!) so the excitement level was at fever pitch today. The holiday combined with indoor recess (below 20 wind chill) means I am VERY tired this evening! The dreidels weren't the only things spinning, let's put it that way!!!
We have a cantor who participates in our Christmas Pops concert every year. He sings two or three pieces. Most of the time we sing with him which means he comes to rehearse with us. He is such a beautiful man. We love and adore him. He's probably 83 or so years old. Every year he sings with us is a blessed gift.
Yes, Light, I am nice and rested! The holiday spirit is definitely infusing the school and there's still a week and a half to go before the break. Heaven help me! I have something important to demonstrate for the fifth graders next week and I'm hoping they can attend long enough to get it! I feel for the classroom teachers.
