Yesterday, the bodies of four Canadian soldiers were brought home from Afghanistan.
Every time one of our fallen soldiers comes home, they are flown to Trenton AFB in Ontario and then make the journey to Toronto on a road we have renamed "Highway of Heroes".
Each and every time, this is what greets the families as they travel along the highway:

Even yesterday, in -13C weather, hundreds of people were on every bridge and overpass.
Anyway, it's very moving and I wanted to share it with you all.
My brother drives a snow plow and they were on the 401 when the procession went through. He couldn't believe the people considering how cold the weather was.
I always appreciate how our soldiers are honoured, and that the casualties are not hidden. The ramp ceremony in Afghanistan is always shown on the news and the coffins are met by the Gov. General or another high ranking official before the trip along the Highway of Heroes.
