For the signature it asks for a url, it won't let me insert directly from my computer. I've tried the url to this photo that I have on Facebook and a Dog Whisperer forum and it won't let me attach either. It let me attach the ocean pic a couple of weeks ago. Weird!
Ruff, thanks for the offer, but I want to figure out WHY it's not happening this time, so I'm gonna keep playing with it. Drive me nuts when something works one time and not another. grrrr
I checked the link -- the image is a jpeg (under "properties"), though it doesn't have a jpeg suffix in the url. The signature only lets you link to a url, now upload your own photo. No matter what I do, it won't accept a photo from either the fb or the dog whisperer site, the two places I have a "url" with Kayla's mug.
I'm going to try a random picture from google image search, see what happens with that.
Change and simplify the image name. Get rid of all the *?/&% artifacts. Resize it.
Note: A jpg is a lossy file type. Everytime a file is saved as a jpg, compression happens which results in some image loss. Rule #1: Preserve your original file untouched. Always do your editing on a copy. If things go awry, another copy can be made easily enough. Rule #2: Plan your strategy. The least amount of re-saves, the better.
What are you using as a photo editor?
Amanda's method works. There are other photo sites as well.

I have to use a url for a signature, so I can't rename what it is on a site -- know what I mean? I don't feel like uploading to photo bucket, but thanks for the idea. It's not a big deal, I was just surprised when I could no longer do it.
