I am leaving Friday morning headed to Nashville for the weekend for the Ryan Adams concert. I am very excited!!!!
I hopefully will also see my friend Levi while I am there, too, but his wife is due TODAY, so you never know when the little guy will make his appearance.
I've been playing in Photoshop again getting keyed up for the show. If y'all thought I loved my soap men, I can't even begin to describe how I feel about Ryan Adams.
Yes, yes, every time I say that I love Ryan Adams, someone says, "Bryan Adams?"
And I have to say, "Nooooo. R-R-R-RYAN Adams." Night and day.
And Mandy Moore does not deserve him. I bet she couldn't even name all of his albums -- just the studio ones.
Bah. Anyway, I'm online from the hotel room and so far, so good. The concert is tomorrow night and I'll be seeing Levi if little Lincoln is not on the way yet! So far it's a "standoff" as Levi calls it.
And yes, Levi got married in August of 2007 to a very sweet girl. He's going to be a really great Dad.
Hey all! I just wanted to check back in and let you know that I arrived home safely and the trip was fantastic!
Jessica (who went with me) and I had a great time touring Nashville, and then I did get to meet up with Levi at the show and we had a blast. Ryan played for 2.5 hours and it was wonderful! My feet still hurt, two days later!
Also, Levi and I bid farewell outside the concert hall at about quarter till 12, and he headed home to Heather. Around 1am, Heather went into labor and Lincoln Shea Weaver was born March 16th at 10:57am, weighing in at 7lbs 8oz and measuring 20 inches long.
Wasn't it sweet of him to wait until his Dad got to see the Ryan Adams show before making his big debut?
The proud papa said: "The most important moments don't have accurately descriptive words. That's to keep them special."
And he posted this pic with the caption, "Accessories of a pretty fantastic last 18 hours" (his hospital bracelet and his concert bracelet)
