I've really been enjoying GL for the last few weeks. Phillip returning, the 4 Musketeers, Mallet and Dinah scenes, Grady going over the cliff have been well done. I loved the Grumpy Old Men, Alan and Buzz with their heart attacks--you call 911, no you call 911!
Today, however was pure schmaltz! What fifth grader wrote the sickeningly sweet scenes of Reva and Jeffrey in court?? Give me a break! If Josh had pulled that court order trick, he would have been walking funny for a week, and we'd never have heard the end of it. I want RealReva back! I've loved Reva since she first arrived with her big hair and Okie accent, but this pale version of GL's feistiest female is gag inducing!
In the beginning, I was okay with the Reva/Jeffrey thing because it was fun, but I always saw it as Reva killing time until Josh was free again. I've never "got" Reva and Jeffrey as some great love story, and now the whole baby story I find pretty much dull and annoying.
I hate to say it, but I'm anxious for the kid to be born so he can be shipped off into the background like the rest of the Springfield offspring and we can move on to something more interesting.
And as much as it pains me to say this... as much as I'm living for a JEVA reunion... right now, Josh is equally dull.
I like Reva and Jeffrey, but this story has gotten ridiculous to the point of absurdity. Reva is the healthiest looking "sick" person I've EVER seen!!! And from the size of that belly, I'd have to say that child is past due. Take the baby, take the medicine and let's get on with it. They're stretching REALLY hard for the melodrama with this one.
I have to agee with everyone! I loved this story in the beginning, but now i'm just bored with it. I love Reva and Jeffrey together, but they need to get back to the fun and exciting couple they were! Although I do hope they show Jeffrey fumbling with a few diapers...that might be fun to watch!!
