Trying to TEMPORARILY dye my hair black
Permalink

I am going with a group of friends to the Harry Potter movie next week, and we're doing costumes, so I am gonna do Snape again.

Any suggestions on the best way to get my hair black for the occasion?  For my HP Party, I used the black spray, but it was kind of messy.

Ideas?

A cheap party store wig? I have never dyed my hair black, so I don't know the answer to your question. Please post photos -- Snape is one of my faves! :D

I'm with KK.... a wig is the best way to go!

Anything other than the spray might mess with you beautiful hair colour.

Oh yes, stick to a wig.  My daughter who is very blonde tried  the 'koolaid temporary'colour when she was a teenager and ended up with lovely pinkish blonde hair until it grew out.

I'm trying to locate a wig. Since it's not close to Halloween, I'm not having much luck. I might have to try the "adult" store ;)

HaHaHa! I think I may have found a wig. A lady at the church that does a lot of plays has a stash, so hopefully that will work out!

Looking at your sig pic ( Guess that is you Amanda) your hair isn't that dark, and you could get away with using a color rinse. It washes out within a week, and usually sooner then that...You could go to a salon.. it would probably be about $12.. at least no more then that..  Hope you have a good time at the movie..
