"I like to refer to our show as an heirloom. Everyone claims that our show was a success because it was family-oriented. I don’t agree. I believe that the fact that our GL franchise was passed down from generation to generation … and so on, is why we are so relevant. At fan events, I have had six generations of fans stand in front of me."

That's my family she's talking about!  Well, we only have five generations of GL fans, but she really gets it.  I believe a number of us are multi-generational GL.  My great-grandmother listened to it on the radio!  That's the saddest thing to me.

Thanks Joel!

Thats absolutely the truth.  My great grandmother listened to it on the radio, my grandma still watches it at age 83, my mom, me & my daughter.  She is not into it like I was at her age, but now there are so many choices with DVR, and multi channels on satellite, like disney, nick etc.   WHen I was 16, there was 3 channels and one tv, so if mom or grandma wanted to watch GL, we ALL watched GL!

Absolutely, Lori!  I've been watching it with my sons for years now, even when some of the love scenes were pretty uncomfortable to be watching with your kids!  My older son is in college now and we watched it together when we were both off over the summer.  We have so much fun mocking it and laughing at some of the more illogical plots.  When my mother comes over all three generations have this touchstone.  How rare is that?!  My grandmother watched it into her 90's, but then she got too confused (she was confused by her own family, you can imagine her bewilderment at what was going on in SF!).
