New Year's Eve plans?

Charlie and I are staying in and the boys are going out, which seems to be the new normal around here, LOL!  I'm hoping there's a good movie On Demand and that we can stay awake for it.  biggrin I'll probably stay up to watch the ball drop in Times Square -- I'm all for watching other people freeze their butts off while I sip my hot chocolate and scarf popcorn in my jammies.  aww

Several of us gave various components of a Wii to my daughter's kids for Christmas.  The kids were thrilled and they have a good set up.  So, we've all been invited over there this evening for a Wii experience.

Sounds like a good time, Ruff!  Don't hurt yourself!

I'm still overnighting with a kitty so I'm not going anywhere. It's one of those jobs I can't believe I'm getting paid for, flat screen tv, fireplace (not with wood but you just flip the switch), so right now I'm watching the NHL Network which is showing the festivities at the Winter Classic a day before it takes place. Bruins are on now and the Flyers follow.

Tonight I'll be watching Canada vs. US in the World Junior Hockey Championships and if I can stay up till midnight I'll probably watch the festivities from downtown Toronto. Might be able to see the fireworks from here, too!

I will be working tonight until 6 a.m. but have tomorrow off!  Then I will be watching the Winter Classic and then the Rose Bowl.

I've declared this a sewing marathon weekend... and have declared tomorrow a jammie day. I'll sew until I'm tired and then go to bed, regardless of whether the ball has dropped or not. I'll get up when I feel like it, do what I want when I want- in general, just enjoy the weekend :)

Sounds like my ideal day (well, the jammie part and sleeping when I want -- not the sewing part).

I am still catching up on all the internet happenings from my vacation. You Facebook folks already know that I spent New Year's Eve at an 80s blowout in a neighboring city. The band did all 80s covers (which made for great dancing!) and a DJ played between sets. I went with three of my friends and we danced our way into the New Year. The city is nicknamed "The Star City" so at midnight, they dropped a star instead of a ball, which was fun.

It had been many years since I did anything in particular to celebrate New Year's Eve, so it was fun to go to a big party and carry on like a crazy person! Although I fear I may be getting too old to go to bed at 4am!
