JoelC, it's Panthers vs Canucks on the 11th, and time for our almost annual loonie bet.  After tonight's not so stellar performance, I'm hoping the guys will come back with a strong effort.  My loonie will go towards a thermometer with negative numbers for Cypress Mountain.

Best of luck to both teams.

(It's sad not having a GL cause! 2:00 still isn't the same.)

Do I have to? LOL My Panthers are so pathetic right now it's not even funny! They can barely score 1 goal a game these days. But in keeping with tradition, you're on! In keeping with a hockey theme, my loonie will go towards a special "Olympic Themed jacket" for Don Cherry to wear Saturday night in the final Coaches Corner prior to the Olympic break! Heck, I'll even add a second loonie to donate a new personality to Ron MacLean, following his not so objective take on the Burrows/Auger situation.

Speaking of old Grapes, did you see that little boy who was on set with him the night of "Hockey Day in Canada". He was wearing a wild jacket just like Grapes and looked absolutely petrified or horrified! I was howling with laughter.

Anyways, here's hoping my Panthers are at least competitive & that our fans treat Bobby Lou better than they did Bouwmeester last week!

Joel, I did see that poor kid on Hockey Day in Canada.  He did look petrified.  Can you imagine going back to school after appearing on TV wearing THAT???

Well, congrats on a nice Canucks win. As predicted, my Panthers were pathetic & I hope thier GM makes good on his threat to blow up the roster. So the Canucks are holding up pretty well so far on the marathon road trip. I hope they keep it up.

Sorry that your Panthers didn't make a better showing.  If it's any consolation, Canucks have been coach/team killers this year with a lot of trades coming to teams after we play them.

And Flyers' fans will be eternally grateful to the Canucks for getting John Stevens fired, something that should have done over a year ago!
