Actually, I mistyped that this morning -- we had cornbread WAFFLES. I imagine the recipe is the same. Anyway, Adam (my cousin's husband) tells me that the recipe is actually on the side of a Jiffy cornbread box, so nice and easy. He sprinkled them with powdered sugar and drizzled a LITTLE BIT of syrup over them. They were even heart-shaped. So cute.
Tonight, he made roast turkey tenderloin in white wine and butter sauce with some kind of spiced rice...delish!
Yes, the recipe is on the Jiffy box. I don't make the pancakes, but I use the Jiffy cornbread almost once a week. It's inexpensive, easy to make, and quite tasty!
My daughter has connected her migrane headaches to processed foods, including store bought breads and the mixes. I know she avoids Krusteaz. If we are going to share good foods in our family, I need to be making these things from scratch. It is what she's doing now. Many thanks though. Guess I'll see what Google produces.
That turkey sure sounds wonderful.
