This past week on ATWT, there was a discussion between Barbara (Paul's mom) and Paul. They were needling each other due to well placed mistrust of each other's motives. Barbara was pressing Paul when she said to him "I want to spend more time with my son!" (meaning Paul). His response was "Does that mean you are going to take some time off from boinking my baby brother?" ........ Well didn't this send my head on a spin through all the fun and discussions we had re the infamous boink between Beth and Philip on the crashed plane and her red slip. How did the 'boink' term originate? Did that come from the writers or not?
Ah the memories! LOL I don’t remember the word “boink” being used bythe writers. I know I picked it up from “Continuity Board” that a poster named Debbie posts on. She constantly referred to that incident as “the frozen fishstick boink” & nicknamed little James “Boinky”. I ran with that term from there! Of course my biggest problem with that whole mess was the idea that a Caribbean island had snow on its mountains. I will once again have to search for snow when I take my cruise this summer! LOL
